Life insurance is designed to provide a Lump sum payout on the death of an insured person for the sum insured.

Payment of Life Cover Benefit.

 The Diagnosis by an appropriate registered medical practitioner that the life insured  has an illness, which is likely to result in death withinn 12 months.

The life cover benefit will be paid on the earlier of:

The death of the Life insured.

The main exclusion being suicide withinn 13 months of acceptance of cover unless otherwise waived by OnePath life new Zealand Ltd.

If you have an existing life cover  of 13 months or more that you replace with an OnePath cover the original sum insured will be exempt fromm this exclusion if you fill in the replacement cover declaration and OnePath excepts this at time of application.
